Poe
He has turned out to be a rather quotable fellow. Here is one of the good ones I have come across so far, from The Fall Of The House Of Usher:
"he silken hair, too, had been suffered to grow all unheeded, and as, in its wild gossamer texture, it floated rather than fell about the face, I could not, even with effort, connect its Arabesque expression with any idea of simple humanity."
Of course he meant this in a "cadaverous"ly bad way, but to me it seems quite pretty and dream-like, and I shall commit it to memory and use it to describe only the most magnificent hairstyles on the most beautiful boys. :P Really the first time I read this it brought a face to mind: Ben Martin. That's right, Gumby Ben: adorable lip-ringed boy, skill-less skater, drummer of funny little blues band, whose hair displayed its own "wild gossamer texture" and to which the emboldened portion of the above quote directly relates. :P *sigh* So cute. Oh to gaze upon his countenance once more. haha...
Well, now it's off to read The Raven and The Bells. You know, I'm really in no mood to read this ridiculously depressing stuff, quotable or not.
