There is not even need for an argument here. Period. Michael Jackson is (was) the coolest thing on the face of the earth. No thing, no one cooler. If you argue, you're dumb and obviously didn't grow up in the 80's. ::sighs:: Kids today...
He -was- the coolest thing ever.
Let's reflect on some of the things that were -once- the 'coolest things ever.'
Furbies. Boy bands. Tamagotchis. Mullets. Disco. 8-tracks. Okay, they're still cool, but still. See what I'm getting at? The fact that Michael Jackson -was- cool does mean that he's still cool nor that he ever should have been.

Ok, like all the things he mentioned that "aren't" cool anymore, are still cool. Furbies? Always! Mullets? Heck yeah, moreso reverse ones, but still. Disco?!?! ARE YOU KIDDING? Viva la disco! 8-tracks? Never heard of any cooler form of media. Some things are legendarily cool. Like Michael Jackson. And yes, typos always reveal the truth...:)
